Hi, I’m Xin Ning (宁辛). I came from Fuyang, Anhui Province, China.

I am a third-year Ph.D. candidate and research assistant in the Department of Agricultural & Applied Economics at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. My research interests span the fields of International Trade and Development, Applied Microeconomics, and Applied Econometrics.

Currently, I’m working on evaluating the long-run economic impact of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE or mad cow disease) on U.S. beef exports to Asian markets, specifically Japan and South Korea, which are the top trading partners of U.S. beef exports.

Besides study and research, I like traveling, walking, and reading. I enjoy spending time with families and friends. I love dogs and cats, mountains and seas.
